This includes supporting Project Directors, Managers, and Coordinators in the day-to-day data analysis required to efficiently distribute payments. The work of the QSF Project Analyst will be vitally important to Milestone’s development, as they will serve to improve our overall processes and our clients’ experience working with us. Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities: Provide support to the Qualified Settlement Fund (“QSF”) administration team across all projects Analyze, interpret, prepare, and/or manipulate high volume of financial data to determine eligible payments to personal injury plaintiffs, their attorneys, and the court Interface with various operating systems to track real-time data and maintain statuses Collaborate with technology and treasury teams to facilitate submission of tickets and payment requests Provide volume-related backup to the solutions team as-needed to answer claimant calls to help on Pathway® specific tech help and question Analyze key trends and provide insight to QSF Director on potential gaps or initiatives related to QSF data management or maintenance needed Identifying problems and shortfalls and proposing solutions Coordinate with banking team to ensure proper issuance and execution of payment submissions to attorneys, claimants, vendors, and any other necessary party Maintain accurate data reporting per project Build and manage all QSF master file reports for assigned QSF projects Requirements & Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required 1-2 years of experience supporting mass tort litigation, high-volume personal injury law, or legal operations preferred 1-2 years of experience analyzing high-volume legal, financial, or case management data within a mass tort or plaintiff law environment preferred Mastery of Excel The ability to be agile and react quickly to changing priorities High attention to detail & administrative skills Deadline and SLA management experience Must be an independent self-starter who is also able to collaborate effectively cross-departmentally Good interpersonal and organizational skills A keen sense of urgency/time management relating to all duties Maintains a variety of specialized files and ensures confidentiality Excellent written and verbal communication skills Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Job Posting Title Process Improvement Project Analyst Principal - Remote Job Description The Principal Process Improvement Project Analyst serves a strategic role in operational excellence, responsible for leading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives and advancing organizational capabilities in Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement. This role partners with senior leaders to identify and solve complex business challenges, define future-state operating models, and deliver measurable financial, operational, customer, and employee outcomes. This position drives large-scale process transformation through data-driven decision making, organizational change leadership, stakeholder alignment, and sustainable benefit realization while coaching and developing others in process improvement methodologies and best practices. Responsibilities Lead enterprise-wide and highly complex cross-functional transformation initiatives using Lean Six Sigma and other continuous improvement methodologies to deliver measurable financial, operational, customer, and employee outcomes Serve as a strategic advisor to senior and executive leaders by identifying improvement opportunities, shaping future-state operating models, facilitating key decisions, and building strong partnerships across the business to drive credible outcomes Establish, advance, and govern continuous improvement standards, tools, playbooks, dashboards, status reporting, and value assessment stories to ensure consistent execution, benefit realization, and visibility to business impact Mentor, coach, and develop Process Improvement practitioners and business partners in Lean Six Sigma methodology, project execution, facilitation, data-driven problem solving, and change leadership Leverage healthcare, PBM, industry, and operational insights to identify emerging opportunities, benchmark performance, influence strategic priorities, support departmental budget planning and oversight, and drive enterprise process maturity Mentor, coach, and develop Process Improvement practitioners and business partners in Lean Six Sigma methodology, project execution, facilitation, data-driven problem solving, and change leadership Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, Healthcare, Operations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience; HS diploma from an accredited school or GED is required 7 years of experience in process improvement, Lean Six Sigma, business analysis or project management Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship Additional Qualifications Demonstrated ability to frame unclear business problems, establish a path forward, lead complex enterprise and cross-functional initiatives, and deliver measurable business outcomes through implementation, benefit realization, and sustainment Advanced proficiency in data analysis, statistics, and data visualization, with the ability to identify opportunities, validate root causes, measure outcomes, and communicate insights to stakeholders and executive leadership Strong leadership, executive communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to coach others, build organizational alignment, and influence leaders at all levels of the organization Demonstrated success influencing enterprise strategy and partnering with executive leadership to prioritize, sponsor, and advance transformational business initiatives Proven ability to build organizational capability through coaching, mentoring, training, governance, and advancement of Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement practices Recognized thought leader with exceptional business acumen, systems thinking, and the ability to identify strategic opportunities, mitigate enterprise risks, and drive sustainable organizational change Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Business, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, Healthcare Administration, Operations Management, Data Analytics, Organizational Leadership, or a related field. Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification Project Management Professional certification or equivalent advanced project/program management certification, with experience leading large-scale technology, digital transformation, or enterprise system implementation initiatives. Your Responsibilities as a Project Accounting Analyst: Project Set-up & Maintenance Ensure Projects are set-up in the accounting system in accordance with the client contract in a timely manner. Review and ensure contract terms agree to information provided on Project Set-up form (PSF). Maintain project-related records, including contracts, change orders, PSF and other project related documents. Ensure billing rates are set-up in accordance with the contract and/or company guidelines. Ensure change orders are processed timely. Assist project managers to ensure revenue and cost budgets are set-up properly. Close out projects timely upon completion. Invoicing Review project expenses and ensure they are reflected correctly and calculating at correct rates. Establish a regular routine for preparing invoices and submitting to project managers for review and approval. Ensure all invoices and billings are prepared in accordance with contract and/or company guidelines. Ensure all invoices are posted into the accounting system when submitted to clients Reconcile all unbilled (WIP) or deferred (negative WIP) balances monthly and address or elevate accordingly. Ensure subcontractor invoices are entered timely and paid according to APEX’s pay-when-paid policy/guidance. Collections Establish a regular routine for “courtesy” follow-ups on invoices submitted to clients. Review past-due invoices on a weekly basis with project managers and determine a plan of action for following up with the client. This should include documenting actions taken. Coordinate with Corporate Receivable Staff regarding collections. Track retainers and application of retainers to projects. Monitor Projects and Project Financials Review and work with project/division managers on an on-going basis to address the following: Negative Backlog - Projects where JTD revenue exceeds budget. WIP balances – determine the cause and resolution of any WIP balances after billings are complete and elevate to management as needed. Inactive project – review inactive projects or projects without activity for an extended period and if WIP and A/R balances are clear, complete or close-out as appropriate. Ensure accurate cost and revenue accruals on projects, and research any discrepancies Understand and validate appropriate revenue recognition on projects. Other Responsibilities Compile information for internal and external auditors as required. Attend project reviews and meetings regarding your projects (financial information or discussions). Support project managers on any project-related financial activities. Support and develop ad-hoc reports as needed for management. Support compliance on corporate initiatives.
