The Emergency Department has 32 beds dedicated to the Adult ER, with Children's National Hospital staffing the pediatric emergency department. Accountable, on-site leadership: a local medical director who knows the community and owns the department's performance, supported by Sound's leadership-development tools. Stable, well-staffed teams: cohesive teams aligned on our patient-first culture of excellence, which means less reliance on premium temp labor and more predictable shifts. Qualifications: Board certified/eligible Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine with Emergency Medicine experience. Medical Directors must be ABEM/ABOEM certified with at least one (1) year of medical leadership experience in a similar or larger volume department. Certifications Required: ATLS, ACLS, and PALS. Authorized to work in the United States. Scheduling: 40 hours of Physician coverage and 24 hours of APP coverage daily. Utilize cutting-edge clinical technologies and the latest wound care modalities. Our physicians provide bedside wound care in over 3,200 facilities across 28 states. We provide physician level wound management training and a wound fellowship giving you all the knowledge and expertise for clinical excellence. W2 full-time physicians earn on average $300,000 per year plus benefits. Appreciate the autonomy and flexibility in our work schedules, routinely a 45 hour work week for full time positions. Paid Training Requirements: Active unrestricted medical license (MD/DO) in the state you wish to practice Minimum commitment of 3 weekdays per week. Practice Overview: Full time work: Monday - Friday (7am-4pm) or part time available. No call / No weekend clinical responsibilities. Scheduling: We have both day and night positions with an array of flexible scheduling options. Key Responsibilities: Day Hospitalists Round on patients as well as do admissions. Our model is 2 Hospitalists along with an APP working as a team. We do not perform procedures, but we do run codes and rapids. You will be admitting to the ICU but do consult with an intensivist. We also have specialty support that can be at the hospital within minutes if necessary. We work with Epic as our EMR system and would be cross-credentialed at our sister location in Merrillville.
