About JBI At JBI, we do not mass-hire. We build operational units deliberately, evaluate professionals early, and position proven talent ahead of emerging opportunities. Our standard is simple: we do not sell bravado—we deliver competence. Every person representing JBI is expected to demonstrate professionalism, discretion, restraint, sound judgment, and absolute accountability. We are currently identifying business-development professionals for active contract acquisition and long-term pipeline positioning across JBI’s security, protection, recovery, and risk-management divisions. Position Overview The Business Development Representative is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing high-value client relationships for JBI. This is not transactional, high-volume sales. The role requires a relationship-driven approach to business development within the private security, executive protection, corporate risk, asset recovery, event security, and specialized protection markets. Successful representatives will be capable of speaking credibly with business owners, executives, legal professionals, property managers, event organizers, high-net-worth individuals, corporate security leaders, and other decision-makers who may require professional security or risk-management services. This is a commission-based opportunity designed for independent professionals who are comfortable creating their own pipeline, managing relationships, and being compensated according to the business they generate. Primary Responsibilities Identify organizations, individuals, and decision-makers who may benefit from JBI’s services. Generate qualified leads through professional networking, direct outreach, referrals, partnerships, and market research. Develop relationships with prospective clients in industries such as hospitality, entertainment, corporate operations, real estate, legal services, private wealth, healthcare, construction, retail, and event management. Conduct initial discovery conversations to understand the client’s operational concerns, vulnerabilities, timelines, budget, and service requirements. Present JBI’s capabilities accurately and professionally without exaggerating services or making unauthorized guarantees. Coordinate with JBI leadership and operational personnel to develop appropriate scopes of work, proposals, and service recommendations. Maintain consistent communication with prospective clients throughout the sales process. Assist with contract development, negotiation, onboarding, and account transition. Maintain organized records of outreach activity, leads, opportunities, client conversations, and next steps. Protect confidential client and company information. Represent JBI with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment in every interaction. Support long-term account development, renewals, referrals, and expansion opportunities when appropriate. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a disciplined, self-directed business developer who understands that trust is the foundation of the security industry. You should be comfortable initiating conversations, building relationships from the ground up, and operating without constant supervision. You must be able to communicate with senior decision-makers while remaining professional, measured, and credible. This position is best suited for a true relationship-driven “hunter”—someone who can identify opportunities, gain access to decision-makers, create value, and move business toward a signed agreement. You eat what you kill, but you do so ethically, professionally, and without compromising JBI’s standards. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in business development, sales, account management, partnerships, consulting, security services, law enforcement, military operations, risk management, insurance, legal services, hospitality, or another relationship-driven industry. Demonstrated ability to generate leads and develop business independently. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Confidence speaking with executives, business owners, attorneys, property managers, and other senior stakeholders. Ability to understand complex client needs and communicate them clearly to operational teams. Strong follow-up habits and attention to detail. Professional judgment when handling sensitive or confidential matters. Existing professional relationships within relevant industries are highly valuable. Familiarity with executive protection, physical security, investigations, recovery operations, corporate risk, or event security is beneficial but not required. Ability to pass any applicable background screening or professional-vetting process. Performance Expectations Business Development Representatives are expected to: Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified opportunities. Conduct outreach professionally and without damaging JBI’s reputation. Avoid misleading statements, pressure tactics, or unauthorized commitments. Keep accurate records of prospect activity and client communications. Respond promptly to leadership and operational teams. Take ownership of opportunities from initial contact through contract execution. Maintain accountability for results, conduct, and client experience. Performance will be evaluated based on the quality of opportunities generated, contracts secured, revenue produced, client retention, professionalism, communication, and adherence to JBI standards. Compensation This position pays $15 per hour , plus uncapped commission based on qualified business secured and successfully converted into revenue for JBI. What JBI Provides Depending on the assignment and stage of the relationship, JBI may provide: Information regarding approved service capabilities. Guidance on target markets and ideal client profiles. Authorized business-development materials. Operational support during the proposal and scoping process. Access to leadership for qualified opportunities. Assistance developing proposals, service plans, and contract terms. Training regarding JBI’s standards, services, and client-engagement expectations. Representatives are responsible for independently developing relationships and generating opportunities unless otherwise agreed in writing. Professional Standards Because this position represents a security organization, candidates must exercise a higher level of judgment than may be expected in a traditional sales environment. Representatives may not: Misrepresent their authority, title, experience, or relationship with JBI. Promise services, personnel, outcomes, response times, or pricing without authorization. Use intimidation, aggressive tactics, or misleading claims to obtain business. Disclose confidential company, client, personnel, or operational information. Present themselves as law enforcement or as possessing government authority. Accept unauthorized payments, gifts, referral fees, or side agreements. Engage in conduct that creates legal, ethical, reputational, or operational risk for JBI.
