This paid, 12-week internship provides emerging journalists with hands-on experience in a professional newsroom serving Lancaster County. Interns will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced journalists while developing their reporting, writing, interviewing, editing and storytelling skills. Spring 2027 interns may work with our news, features or sports teams , based on their interests, experience and newsroom needs. Interns will contribute meaningful work from the start and gain exposure to the fast-paced, deadline-driven environment of local journalism. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Report, research and write accurate, engaging stories for LNP and LancasterOnline. Conduct interviews with community members, public officials, business leaders and other sources. Cover breaking news, community events, government meetings, sporting events and other assignments as directed. Develop feature stories and enterprise reporting ideas relevant to Lancaster County readers. Gather and verify information from multiple sources while maintaining high standards for accuracy and fairness. Work with editors to revise and strengthen stories for publication. Develop story pitches and contribute ideas during newsroom discussions and planning. Meet deadlines and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
