Content Writer

About the Role We're looking for a content writer who can own a high-volume monthly blog program for our SEO clients, primarily in the multifamily and housing space. This is not a role where you'll be handed a topic and left to guess. It's a role where you'll build a body of work, month over month, that tells a coherent story about each property we write for. The current workload is 60 pieces of 800+ word content per month, and we expect that to grow. You should be comfortable working at that volume without sacrificing quality, so it's worth considering whether that pace suits the way you like to work. To be clear about how that volume gets done: we expect you to use AI as part of your process. We're not asking you to write 48,000 words a month from a blank page. What we are asking for is the harder skill. AI drafts tend to arrive broad and a little generic, and they rarely carry the specific detail or voice a client's property deserves. Your job is to spot those gaps quickly and rewrite the draft into something that sounds like a person who knows the property wrote it. The writers who succeed in this role are excellent editors first. If you enjoy taking a serviceable draft and making it genuinely good, you'll do well here. What You'll Do Write and deliver 60+ monthly blog posts (800+ words each) for SEO clients Write Google Business Profile posts and other short-form content as needed Take on additional writing projects as they come up, since our client needs shift Build month-to-month narrative continuity so a year of blogs for a single property reads as one connected story, not 12 disconnected articles Differentiate content across a client portfolio. When 15 properties in the same city need a blog on the same topic, each one needs its own angle, structure, and detail set so no two read alike. Apply SEO best practices to every piece: keyword intent, structure, internal linking, headers, meta descriptions Use AI tools to generate first drafts at speed, then edit and rewrite them into content that reads as human, accurate, and specific to the client Manage your own assignments and deadlines in Asana, and communicate proactively in Slack Absorb editorial feedback and carry it forward so the same notes don't have to be given twice What We're Looking For (required) Command of the English language that holds up under scrutiny. Grammar, mechanics, rhythm, and word choice should be second nature, not something you fix in the last pass. Demonstrated experience writing SEO-friendly content that ranks and reads well Practical fluency with AI as a writing assistant, and more importantly, the editing skill to turn a rough AI draft into publishable work. Heavy rewriting, restructuring, fact-checking, and voice correction will be a daily part of the job. The judgment to keep repetitive assignments from becoming repetitive content. You'll write the same topic many times over, and each version needs to stand on its own. Genuine self-direction. We're fully remote, and nobody will be checking whether you started your day. The ability to internalize feedback. We want a writer whose work in month six is noticeably better than month one because of the notes they've received. Strategic thinking about content. You should be able to look at a client's property, audience, and goals and plan a run of blogs that builds toward something. Nice to Have Experience writing for multifamily, property management, real estate, or adjacent housing industries. This is a significant plus. Familiarity with GEO (generative engine optimization) and how to structure content so it surfaces in AI-generated answers Working knowledge of Asana and Slack. If you don't have it, we'll teach you. It's not a dealbreaker. Please have your samples prepared before you apply so we can move quickly. Expected Salary Range $45,000-$55,000 Work Environment and Physical Demands Primarily remote, with optional opportunities to collaborate in person at the Orlando, Florida office. Up to two required in-person events per year. Availability during core working hours as defined by their team and typically overlap with 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern time, unless otherwise defined by department leadership. Primarily sedentary work in an office with minimal distractions. Learn and memorize tasks; execute tasks independently; apply knowledge and use judgment to handle situations. Occasionally exert up to 5 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise utilize and move standard office equipment and objects. When attending conferences or other events, occasionally exert up to 20 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise utilize and move objects. Perform repetitive motions; substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and fingers for computer keyboard operation. Use near visual acuity to operate a computer, read, and prepare documents. Speak and hear to communicate with team members and clients primarily by video conference. Originally posted on Himalayas

Content Writer (Freelance)

Grizzle

United States

Grizzle is a content marketing agency that helps enterprise B2B and SaaS companies create and distribute authoritative, actionable, and value-driven content. Our clients include Semrush, Pipedrive, Tide, CXL, and Web.com, to name a few. Our goal is to help them surpass their revenue, traffic, and brand awareness goals using a proven content marketing methodology. About the job We’re looking for talented content writers to work with us on an ongoing basis. We’ll provide you with a steady stream of interesting work, processes, courses to empower you to write articles you’re proud of, and ongoing support from our team of editors. You’ll be given ample amounts of constructive feedback and dedication from our editors to help you become a stronger writer. This is one of the most cited reasons that writers have worked with us for years: “As a writer, you want to work with people that get it. Grizzle gets it. They get the importance of good writing. They get that writers need a solid brief, space and time to work, and valuable (constructive, not negative) feedback. And that’s exactly what they deliver. More than that though, they look for ways to get better at helping writers thrive by—get this—talking to them. The regular check-ins are a wonderful thing. Being part of the Grizzle team is a wonderful thing. I’m a better writer for it.” Clients have worked with us for years because we embed ourselves into their systems and adapt to their brand voice. Therefore, this role is best suited for writers who are comfortable with writing in different styles in-line with documented content guidelines. Bonus points if you have subject matter expertise in marketing, sales, business finance, HR, or other business topic. We encourage you to check the FAQ at the bottom of this page. Benefits of working with us Over the last 7 years, we’ve created effective content marketing playbooks that help our clients surpass their growth goals. Our content performs well in highly competitive markets, and we’re dedicated to helping our clients meet their acquisition, sales, and revenue targets. However, we’re not a content farm. We take the time to create high-quality content that’s full of unique insights and value-adds. We don’t replicate what’s already out there. Every piece of content must have a purpose. We haven't done our job properly if an audience doesn’t feel empowered by what they read. If our mission aligns with your values, here are a few other benefits of joining our team: Long-term and reliable freelance retainer Learn about content marketing, SEO, and digital PR Work on industry-leading and interesting SaaS accounts Collaborate with talented content marketers and editors Improve your own marketing skills Access to our internal content and marketing courses What you’ll be doing You’ll create authoritative, long-form content that empowers and educates audiences while helping our clients meet their goals and make their lives easier. Once hired, you’ll collaborate with our senior editors on briefs and drafts. You’ll be given the information and resources you need to create detailed angles and outlines for your content and ensure we go above and beyond competing articles. From there, you’ll research and write long-form content that's full of detailed examples, actionable insights, and paragraphs that drive points home while closing loops and maintaining logical flow. More specifically, you will: Research topics and uncover pain points to produce angles and analyze the competitive landscape Create outlines to communicate the logical flow of your narrative and help us collaborate with clients (this significantly reduces feedback during the draft stage and means fewer revisions for you) Write engaging, practical, and informative content that educates, motivates, and inspires readers to take action Share and break down examples and supporting imagery (screenshots, graphs, etc.) Cite relevant and original sources when necessary Follow client guidelines to match their brand voice, tone, structure, and preferences Collaborate with the Grizzle team on each project via ClickUp Content formats you’ll be writing Blog Articles: Long-form content to drive traffic, educate readers, and convert them into leads, users, and customers. Content Refreshing: Breathing new life into existing content with new sections, examples, and value takeaways. Landing Pages: Product pages for SEO and other channels. Email Content: Newsletters and campaigns. Ebooks: Long-form guides that overdeliver on value. We’re looking for content writers who: Love creating actionable, in-depth content on a range of B2B topics Strive to create the best piece of content available on a topic Can easily adapt to different writing styles Have acquired subject matter expertise in marketing, sales, finance, HR, or other business topics Are hungry to become stronger writers and work with editors that will help them do so Can write in a clear, concise manner Understand on-page SEO and what makes content valuable Are extremely well organized and can work to deadlines Can communicate in a consistent and reliable manner You’ll work closely with and learn from a sophisticated content marketing methodology. If you want to improve your marketing skills, you’ll see how we create great content and rub shoulders with some known names in the industry. We pay our freelance writers per project. You can find info on our project rates here. This can increase after several months of working with us and for larger projects (such as ebooks). FAQs What's the typical word count for each project? Word count can range anywhere from 1,000 to 4,000 words, depending on the specificity and complexity of each topic. What sort of clients do you work with? We work with B2B and SaaS brands. Industries range from sales and marketing to fintech and remote working. Check out the logos on our home page. What's the process to get started? We always start with a paid test task with multiple phases, followed by a client project. What content formats do you create? 80% of our projects are blog articles. The rest is made up of landing page copy, ebooks, guest posts, etc. What are your content workflows? We have organized processes that are mapped out in ClickUp. You’ll receive a brief, then work with our editors to create an angle, outline, and write a value-driven draft. One round of revisions is baked into the process. Our content marketing editors (CMEs) and copyeditors are there to support you, polish content to perfection, and address client feedback. Will the content be ghostwritten? 95% of our content is ghostwritten for clients. There’s the odd occasion where we can attribute a byline to our writers. What project management software do you use? We use ClickUp for project comms (and provide training on how to use it) and expect writers to keep open lines of communication with us there. Originally posted on Himalayas

For our payment clients, we pay $600/£500 per article once you're trained. If you pass our “probation period”, we can offer a long-term contract (at least 6 months). We can also offer a full-time position if you’re interested. We pay on-time, usually on the first Friday of the month. As long as articles are delivered on time, you can work when you want. You don’t have to know about financial services (but you do have to be willing to learn). We value good writing more. You’ll be able to see how your content delivers impact and helps our clients acquire customers. We give a lot of detailed feedback. You won’t get vague feedback like “can you make this less confusing?”. We try to make our feedback to the point and we’ll always look for ways to improve the article ourselves (so you’re not left coming up with alternatives alone). You’ll have the opportunity to grow: we only hire content strategists from within, and we’re always looking for strategists. You’ll have a chance of learning about content strategy and learning how to turn readers into leads. Interested? Apply on the next page! Originally posted on Himalayas
